Bismillahir-Rahmanir-Raheem
We begin by Praising Allah ta’ala, for the countless Blessings and Ni’mah He has granted us in this life. Above all, the Blessing of Islam, the Blessing of Imaan, and the Blessing of being able to freely practice our Deen and to openly proclaim our love towards Allah ta’ala, His Deen, and the teachings of our beloved Prophet Muhammad salallahu ‘alaihi wasalam.
May Allah’s Peace and Blessings be upon the final Messenger Muhammad, upon his family, his companions, and all of those who follow them with righteousness until the Day of Judgment.
As to what follows:
Alhamdulillah – With the leadership of Ustaz Hussain Yee and his team from the AK Youth, AlKhaadem has launched its first ‘Perfecting My Solah’ series on the 26th of March 2011.

The fresh new program is basically a rebrand of the annual ‘solah course’ that has been one of AlKhaadem’s trademark courses, with the central theme of improving the quality of worship towards Allah ta’ala.
Alhamdulillah, this is already the 2nd solah course AlKhaadem has organized this year with a ‘full-house’ turn up. This is due to the growing awareness within the Muslim societies, especially here in Malaysia, of the importance of knowledge in Islam, and the importance of verifying the teachings taught to us to ensure its accordance to what was Prescribed by Allah the Most High and the teachings of our Prophet Muhammad salallahu ‘alaihi wasalam – more than 1400 years ago.
It is with this understanding that the true spirit of Islam can be experienced from the movements and rituals, and with this can the Love towards Allah the Almighty truly manifest itself. As He subhanahu wata’ala says:
Say (O Muhammad SAW to mankind): “If you (really) love Allah, then follow me (ie: the Prophet SAW’s teachings) Allah will love you and forgive you your sins. And Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.” (Ali-Imran: 31)

The new element introduced with the ‘Perfecting my Solah’ series is the group workshop. Based on feedback from previous courses, the students have no problem accepting the knowledge given. However the challenge comes in the implementation of the knowledge attained into their daily lives.
To help them with this, the participants are divided into groups during the workshop session, and a trained facilitator will attend to each group to facilitate a revision process of all that was taught during the lessons.

The participants will then be able to identify their mistakes when performing the movements, as well as to clarify any issues that they may have with regards to what was taught. The response was very encouraging as a participant from previous solah course testified that this simple concept has a very big impact for the new comers, especially in terms of helping them to put into practice the knowledge acquired.
We ask Allah subhanahu wata’ala to grant us proper understanding of His Deen, and guide us to the path that leads to His good Pleasure. And grant us the ability to constantly increase and improve the quality of our worship towards Him, from performing our solah, to how we carry ourselves as Muslims in our everyday lives. And to Allah is the final Return.
May the Peace and Blessings of Allah be upon the perfect example, Muhammad ibn Abdullah salallahu ‘alaihi wasalam upon his family and his companions.
BarakAllahu feekum.
